You will be part of a team committed to pushing the frontier of computer vision and machine learning technology to deliver the best experience for our neighbors. This is a great opportunity for you to innovate in this space by developing highly optimized algorithms that will work on scale. This position requires experience with developing efficient computer vision algorithms on resource-constrained computing platforms on edge. You will collaborate with different Amazon teams to make informed decisions on the best practices in machine learning to build highly-optimized integrated hardware and software platforms.

The role is open for multiple locations across Europe.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree in Computing, Machine Learning or related area.
- Applied science experience.
- Proven knowledge and experience of computing fundamentals in algorithm design, complexity analysis, data structures, problem solving and diagnosis.
- Knowledge and experience in machine learning and data science.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g,. Java, C/C++, C#).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl)
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with computer vision.
- Experience of working with large datasets and scaling ML models, and/or information extraction from unstructured sources.
