Are you passionate about using Data as a way to enable automation, knowledge extraction, and artificial intelligence through the use of Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Recommender systems, Computer Vision, and Optimization? Do you have experience collaborating with Business Intelligence and Business Analysis organizations? We are building a team of experienced Engineers to support this vision.

On this team you will partner with a mature team of Software Engineers, Scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers and Business Analysts to create the infrastructure and processes needed to support ML models, analyze/model customer reading behavior to measure engagement and detect risks, study and optimize manufacturing and fulfillment processes, and build AI-based systems, among other use cases.

As a Data Engineer, you will participate in the definition, design, implementation and testing of our Data processes and needs.

As a Data Engineer, you will be working with a large and complex dataset. You should have expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets and complex infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have relevant experience with SQL, ETL (and general data wrangling) and have good communication skills.

Key job responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy data solutions. Solve difficult problems generating positive feedback.
- Provide a solid understanding of data design approaches (and how to best use them).
- Ability to work independently and with your team to deliver data solutions successfully.
- Consistently generate high quality artifacts (e.g., secure, testable, maintainable, low-defects, efficient, well documented etc.) and incorporates best practices. Your team trusts your work.
- Generations of data models and code reviews that tend to be rapid and uneventful. Provide useful review comments for changes submitted by others.

- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
