Key job responsibilities
• Oversee the end-to-end safety performance and continuous enhancement of in-house shunting (TAP) activities across Amazon EU operations.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to report on performance metrics, define strategies, and implement best practices for in-house shunting operations.
• Provide comprehensive reports on safety performance, initiatives, and metrics across all business units involved in shunting activities.
• Lead the shunter safety Improvement Program in the EU region, fostering a culture of safety and continuous learning within the organization.
• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, training programs, and relevant safety legislation and regulations related to in-house shunting.
• Analyze data and metrics to identify incident trends, areas for improvement, and track progress through targeted action plans and safety campaigns.
• Support the accident investigation process following any near-miss involving blue badge shunter drivers, and leverage findings to drive continuous improvement.
• Produce and present safety reports, and participate in meetings related to safety for Shunting operations through WBR, MBR etc
• Liaise with the L&D team on the development of training programs and content for shunter operations.
• Collaborate with global WHS teams to leverage and implement global safety initiatives and best practices within the EU region.

A day in the life
As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our operations. You’ll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, you’ll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation.

You’ll encourage and support your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your team’s success.

About the team
Amazon couldn’t deliver without the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you’ll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- A Bachelor degree or equivalent level of qualification in line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience in program or project management
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Relevant experience working in logistics, or experience in operations within the Transportation or Yard operations environment
