Sandra D.Occupational Doctor | Madrid, Spain Working at Amazon is an exciting challenge, where I can develop projects that will affect the safety and health of many workers, where I am encouraged to research to define objectives, invent methods, and the necessary tools, with the vision that these improvements can impact beyond my site, and beyond Spain. I like the feeling of being part of a team with a clear goal: safety first. There is no better challenge for an occupational doctor like me. |
Justin W.Senior Regional WHS Manager | Werne, Germany One of the many benefits of working in WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) at Amazon is that you are part of a large network of highly qualified specialists. That means you're never alone when confronted with a difficult situation, but it also means you have a great opportunity for development by learning from specialized experts in their fields, which opens up many different career paths within WHS, from people to program manager roles, or becoming a specialized expert for full-time projects in ergonomics, industrial hygiene, contractor safety, or something similar. |
Diego S.Regional WHS Manager | Rome, Italy I started in Amazon in September 2014 as a seasonal Warehouse associate; I was in UK, LTN1 Milton Keynes, the very first Amazon FC in EU. I started as I moved in UK to try my luck and have a career. I wanted to challenge myself and I gradually started to ask for opportunities. Firstly I tapped on the General Manager at the time for an opportunity, then I started to work with people, that changed my life. I went to full progression from Safety Proxy, through Safety Coordinator, Specialist, Step-Up Manger, Manager and now Regional WHS Manager. Working with people is the best part in my Amazon experience. Coming from the floor and listening to the people needs has been my main lead to promote safety, as a culture not only policies. |
