DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Air Operations Manager to lead our Air Transportation tracking operations. This role is responsible for end-to-end visibility of packages moving through our air network, from Fulfillment Centers, passing through Air carriers’ terminal at airport to final Amazon destinations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, exceptional analytical skills, and the capacity to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. This position requires managing a team while ensuring timely package movement, identifying delays, and implementing solutions for any disruptions in the air transportation network. The role will be based in Sao Paulo – SP.

Key job responsibilities
Lead and nurture a high-performing team of tracking operators, Conduct performance evaluations, Track package movements from FC departure to final Amazon destination, Verify airport processing compliance and timing, Track Cargo Terminal status and movement, Ensure timely delivery to Amazon stations, Identify and escalate delays or disruptions tracking existing metrics to detect & remove any defects, Develop and track KPIs for air network performance, Create and maintain performance dashboards , Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports, Analyze trends and patterns in network performance, Investigate missing packages. Coordinate with partners for package recovery.

A day in the life
Start your day reviewing overnight performance and leading the morning stand-up with your team. Throughout the morning, closely monitor FC departures, airport arrivals, and address any immediate operational challenges. Mid-day activities include performance metric analysis, coordination with airports, and tracking package movements. The afternoon focuses on monitoring flights, TECA processing, and station deliveries, while leading team huddles and addressing pending issues. Your day concludes with preparing comprehensive reports, planning next-day operations, and ensuring a smooth handover to the night shift team. This dynamic role requires constant attention to real-time operations while maintaining clear communication channels with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless air transportation operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree;
- Ability to prepare, report on and interpret large sets of data;
- Advanced Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLookUps);
- Advanced English, both spoken and written;
- Experience in a fast-moving Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Ecommerce environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology;
- Experience in MS Access and SQL;
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document.
