We're currently seeking a Senior Program Manager, Risk and Compliance to play a crucial role in our Delivery Service Partner (DSP) network. This position is vital to ensuring our entire last-mile ecosystem - including DSPs, their Delivery Associates (DAs), and Amazonians - operates with the highest standards of compliance and integrity. As the successful candidate, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing robust compliance mechanisms, fostering a culture of awareness through ongoing monitoring and communication, and spearheading strategic initiatives. Your goal will be to elevate Amazon's Last Mile network to best-in-class compliance levels, reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence and customer trust.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead first-line compliance mechanism development and enhancement, including: Designing and implementing new compliance controls, Implementing new tech features, and Improving existing controls for identified risk areas
- Spearhead initiatives to ensure Amazon and partner compliance with evolving regulations and contract changes
- Track and report on existing compliance mechanisms, analyzing trends and identifying opportunities for improvement and lead cross functional team to take appropriate actions and initiatives to achieve set goal
- Facilitate and manage compliance activities, achieving timely resolutions of compliance issues with collaborating internal and external stakeholders
- Own and drive compliance-related communication and guidance programs for internal and external stakeholders to increase compliance awareness
- Lead cross-program and cross-geography initiatives, collaborating with other AMZL teams (e.g., AMXL, Hub DP) and international counterparts
- Foster team success through mentoring, coaching, and provide leadership that enables team members to excel in their roles and grow professionally

You do NOT need a background in Logistics. You DO need the logical, rational thinking, skills to control complex projects with high judgement decisions, clear communication style, stakeholders management and ability to make recommendation required to convince a business partner and leadership that the strategy and action YOU are recommending is the right one. We recognize that the experience required for this role likely doesn't exist within traditional logistic companies, and we therefore welcome forward-thinking program managers, project managers and product managers from a wide variety of experiences and backgrounds to consider this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience leading cross-functional project management
- Legal, risk, or compliance experience in logistics or operations, with proven organizational impact
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English

- Technical proficiency is essential, including hands-on experience with data analytics and SQL, along with a strong background in change management and partner/customer lifecycle management.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus to ensure structured approach to project delivery.
- Business-level Japanese language proficiency is crucial for this role, as effective communication with local stakeholders is fundamental to success.
