Business Analyst, Labor Planning & Solutions, Amazon Air

The Labor Planning and Solutions (LP&S) Team within the Amazon Air network optimizes labor in the network, accounting for regularly changing assumptions and inputs.
The LP&S team is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst to identify and drive labor planning improvement opportunities across the AIR network. This person will work with key stakeholders in the organization to generate weekly labor plans, extract data from BI databases, develop quality metrics and analyses, execute cross-functional projects, and partner closely with tech and science teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and drive weekly optimization of labor for up to three Air gateways
- Generate/extract data from our BI databases to support deep dive activities
- Prioritize, optimize, and deliver timely updates for key metrics
- Automate reports and tools with a combination of SQL and Excel
- Uncover trends and correlations through data mining and analysis to develop insights that can improve the business and help make effective decisions
- Graphically express data to allow easy access and understanding for a broad range of people
- Up to 20% domestic travel
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the aviation industry
- Master's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
