Business Intelligence Engineer, Pricing Eligibility Services

This is a difficult problem...and it happens more than 2 billion times per day!
The Amazon Pricing team is looking for a business intelligence engineer manager to own analytics our worldwide suite of Price Evaluation tools that answer the hypothetical question posed above and many more like it. As the BIE over our price evaluation tools, you’ll partner with our team of product managers, research scientists, data scientists, data engineers, and developers to build out the next generation of models that Amazon uses to evaluate prices. You will help identify and size false positives or new opportunities that improve upon a suite of tools that are designed to ensure products on Amazon have prices that are factually-based, competitively priced, and not 'too good to be true.'
In this role you will identify and drive projects to increase Amazon’s understanding and influence of pricing. You will develop regular business reporting to baseline current performance and deepen our insights across customer segments and product types. You will help to establish measurements that will be used when running experiments to measure the impact of the experiments on price perception. You will help to influence the development of new models that will influence the way we display products. You will collaborate across teams to develop capacity reporting for project and operational overhead for existing and emergent work-flows. You will help define the data pipeline, self-service tools and drive insights that improve our Price Evaluation tools.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter that can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision. You must be a fast learner who can quickly absorb the nuances of Amazon's varied pricing programs and processes.
