AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services Operations (SMGS Ops) seeks a Sales Strategy & Operations individual contributor to work with the EMEA Specialist Go to Market team aligned to AWS Global Sales (AGS). This role will be a member of the EMEA GTM Sales Ops team supporting EMEA GTM Specialists, partnering to help grow revenue and adoption of strategic AWS Domains and Services.
This role will work with EMEA GTM Specialists to 1/ develop, implement and manage the annual GTM plan, business processes, systems, reports and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives, 2/ work with worldwide Sales & Business Operations teams to analyze historic results, and make business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses, and 3/ act as a trusted business advisor to GTM Specialists Leaders, leveraging data and analysis to land business insights, develop GTM strategies, and scale the business – all in an environment of rapid growth, increasing complexity, and ambiguity.
The Specialist Sales Strategy & Operations position will act as a trusted business advisor to GTM Specialists, leveraging data and analysis to land business insights, develop GTM strategies, and scale the business. Your insights will drive incubation and growth for some of the most complex, innovative and revenue driven offerings in the AWS portfolio. This position will support the administration and execution of the team’s goals and targets, including segmentation of business goals to the across EMEA Areas at the Domain level, measurement of goal attainment, defining and/or evolving and driving demand generation campaigns and proposing improvements to the business to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results. This position will support various parts of the rhythm of the business activities including Business Reviews, and other cadenced reporting and metrics. This position requires an understanding of the Service offerings, Specialist Sales, and the AGS Sales Teams to meet end-customer needs and business requirements.
The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, understand the addressable opportunity by Domain & Area, be experienced at working with data sets and associated tools, to glean insights from the data. The candidate will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, have excellent problem-solving abilities, superb communication, and strong customer-relationship and stakeholder management skills. This individual will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way. This role requires active collaboration with Business Development, Finance, Sales Operations, Marketing, and Recruiting will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities.
Key job responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor to GTM Specialist leaders and team members, leveraging data and analyses to land business insights, develop GTM strategies, and scale the business.
Support the administration and execution of the team’s targets, including segmentation of business goals, measurement of goal attainment, evolving and driving various demand generation campaigns and proposing improvements to the business to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results.
Drive incubation and growth for some of the newest and most innovate offerings in the AWS portfolio. Including driving improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to their customers.
Support the rhythm of the business activities across all required business reviews, and other cadenced reporting and metrics.
Work directly with the data to glean insights.
Advocate for their customers to other internal stakeholders. Active collaboration with teams in Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and AGS Sales Operations will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
