The AWS Sales team guides and accelerates the evolution of our customers’ cloud integration. In this role, you’ll be a key player in helping organizations improve their cloud capabilities and driving adoption of a broad array of AWS services. On the customer side, you’ll work closely with C-level executives, software developers, IT architects, and others to understand their challenges and objectives. On the AWS side, you’ll collaborate with our business and technology teams to develop strategies and solutions that deliver on those objectives.

We’re seeking self-starters with high levels of curiosity, resourcefulness, and tenacity. As the primary advocate for your customer, you’ll need to be a clear communicator, know how to build strong relationships, and understand what motivates people. Of course, time management, organizational skills, and agile thinking are essential. Through it all, you’ll always do what’s best for your customers, opting for building long-term trust over quick sales wins.
My favorite part of the job is being a part of the difficult conversations between my customer and our senior leadership. In my opinion, the best part of a career in sales is that you get to be a part of conversations that would otherwise take 20 or 30 years to be involved in. This is also the challenging part, because if you’re at the table with executives, you’re expected to talk, act, and think like an executive as well.

I think of myself as the quarterback of a team. My role is to support my customers’ growth and evolution with AWS. Some are using many of our services, but their businesses are constantly evolving. As new business challenges arise, we need to remain closely aligned with all AWS business and IT teams to help the customer innovate and solve those challenges.
It’s easy to get excited each day while working with so many talented and inspiring individuals. My favorite part of the job is serving my customer base and seeing them grow and succeed in their respective industries. Customers tell me often I’m an extension of their team, which brings me joy. It's humbling to work with innovative, smart, and forward-thinking customers.
