A day in the life
- Conduct research and develop new quantum algorithms to solve complex computational problems
- Design and implement quantum simulation models to study the behavior of quantum systems
- Investigate the properties and performance of superconducting qubits, a promising platform for building large-scale quantum computers
- Explore the application of quantum key distribution protocols for secure communication and data encryption, ensuring the privacy and integrity of sensitive information
- Explore the application of quantum optics principles to develop novel quantum sensing and communication technologies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Are enrolled in a PhD in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum
- Can relocate to where the internship is based
- Experience with any programming language such as Python, Java, C++
- Experience with one or more of the following: Quantum Algorithms, Quantum Simulators, Superconducting Qubits, Quantum Key Distribution , Optics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in causal modeling like graphical models, causal Bayesian network, potential outcomes, A/B testing, experiments, quasi-experiments, and data science workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $65.38/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $102.31/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
