AMXL JP is seeking a strategic and results driven leader to join as a Principal Program Manager. We are looking for a talented individual who is able to work in an ambiguous environment, manage multiple stakeholders; and lead initiatives to grow key initiatives across the E2E network. You will have a detailed/analytical mindset as well as think big attitude and will be responsible to liaise with key stakeholders across Heavy & Bulky Retail /Supply Chain/Product/Tech/Operations teams and external partner teams. You will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable driving complex cross-functional Programs and will have a strong management and analytical skills, and be an effective communicator.

As a Principal Program Manager, you will have proven experience in strategy, large-scale execution, entrepreneurial innovation, working cross functionally with operations and engineering teams, and people leadership in a matrix environment. This role requires comfort in ambiguous situations and maintaining a high bar in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Strong business judgment, ability to influence cross-functional and remotely located teams, a customer-centric and creative mindset and strong analytical skills are also essential.

Key job responsibilities
• Manage the program charter by driving strategic initiatives for growth and quality improvement.
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across AMXL & Heavy/Bulky Retail/Supply Chain/Product/Tech/Operations teams and external partner teams.
• Define launch/implementation strategies for key initiatives
• Lead/support development of product and operational requirements in close collaboration with product, engineering, and operations teams. Guide the product development lifecycle through key stages, including ideation (PRFAQ), business requirements (BRD), system and operational design, build and launch phases to ensure new capabilities meet launch needs.
• Lead and/or support in key leadership update documents such as MBR/QBR, WW VP goals review.
• Deliver clear and concise updates on status of the Program with detailed commentary on key challenges, risks and mitigations implemented.

A day in the life
While you will always strive towards one goal - delighting customers - no two days will be the same. You lead meetings with multiple stakeholders to drive alignment for your programs. You coordinate and write multiple documents with leadership visibility, from strategic to tests to reviews, requiring multiple inputs from several stakeholders. You challenge the status quo and drive data based decisions making with cross-functional teams. You plan and organize to the tee to ensure seamless execution. You will continuously find new problems to solve and be required to partner with teams across Japan and the globe to deliver for our customers. You take business trips within and outside Japan on a need basis to build your skills, network and to gain insights from other regions and bring and export best practices to and from Japan.

Our delivery partners are experienced in H&B deliveries, providing special handling services such as Room of Choice Delivery, Installation/Assembly and Recycling/Haul-Away.

Our team is made up of a diverse group of individuals across operations, supply chain, tech, finance, planning, customer experience, business intelligence and program management that work closely and collaboratively across Amazon to constantly improve and scale our operations, always insisting on the highest standards and obsessing over delivering bigger smiles for our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Bachelor's degree
- Business level of English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
- MBA
- Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level
- Consulting, Investment Banking or Strategy experience
- Business level of Japanese
