Japan AI/ML Specialist Leader, Amazon Web Services

The Japan Specialist Team work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems. The Specialist teams work as the deep domain experts alongside AWS customer Account Managers and Solutions Architects. As part of the team, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. As the Japan AI/ML Specialist Manager, you will build and lead the Sales strategy for AWS’ AI/ML and GenAI products through a senior team across the area; your team will engage in the most critical AI/ML engagements, leveraging partners, and building new initiatives that drive results for our customers. Your team provides critical feedback from customers to inform our product roadmap, and you will work closely with our partner network to accelerate a partner ecosystem supporting our customers’ goals. In emerging areas, your team plays a critical role in providing signals from the customers in Japan that inform new services, domains, or solutions. You will have a team of AI/ML Specialists reporting to you, each owning critical market/vertical segments for AWS.
Key job responsibilities
- Own overall Sales strategy for the entire AWS AI/ML and GenAI services in Japan
- Work in partnership with Database, Analytics and Storage teams to develop and execute a cohesive AWS for Data plan
- Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as developers and technical architects, to develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
- Be the voice of GenAI and AI/ML to AWS' Leaders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience working with a matrixed team of stakeholders to achieve a common goal or equivalent
- Experience in GenAI or AI/ML technologies
- Extensive experience in technology related sales, business development or equivalent
- Experience leading teams
- Experience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Fluent in both Japanese and English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in sales management or equivalent
- Experience working with cloud technology
