Embedded Software Development Engineer - Amazon Ring

As a skilled Embedded Software Development Engineer, you will drive engineering and business decisions, leveraging technology frameworks, optimization techniques and high availability services.
In this role, you will lead the design of features and initiatives across the organization. Your main focus will be on firmware development of platform components for upcoming Ring battery-powered devices, on Linux and/or RTOS based SOCs.
Key job responsibilities
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be a core member of the platform software team, developing Ring's next generation of Camera centric devices. Ideal candidate would be passionate about building IOT products. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in embedded development in C/C++
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
