As a Software Engineer II on the Agilis Tech team, you'll shape the future of e-commerce by tackling complex challenges across the software development lifecycle. As a Software Engineer II on the Agilis Tech team, your day is filled with solving complex business challenges through innovative technology. You collaborate with cross-functional teams across Seattle, Detroit and Costa Rica to design and build high-performance full-stack applications that empower our business partners to expand their reach and provide exceptional customer experiences. From architecting scalable systems to implementing cutting-edge features, your work directly impacts millions of customers, sellers, and products worldwide. With a focus on customer obsession, you navigate ambiguity and the fast pace of a ship-focused company, always striving to push the boundaries of what's possible.
About the team
The team is currently distribute between US (Seattle & Detroit) and Costa Rica (San Jose).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Ability to speak English language (communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, and actively participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations conducted in English)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
