Key Job Responsibilities

* Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.

* Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.

* Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.

* Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.

* Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.

* Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
- Are 18 years of age or older.
- Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or majors relating to these fields.
- Have an expected graduate date between October 2023 - September 2025 and/or graduated within the last 24 months.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience from a technical internship.
- Are enrolled in a academic program that is physically located in the United States.
- Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization.
- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions and adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $99,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $200,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
