Sr Generative AI Strategist, Generative AI Innovation Center
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated business-oriented technologists program leader who possess a unique balance of business knowledge, effective interpersonal skills, and some technological depth in the following areas: analytics/big data, machine learning and generative artificial intelligence. This role will focus on partnering with customers to enhance their business or operational outcomes through the use of advanced and emerging technologies.
You will partner with the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center Strategy team, customers, AWS Sales, AWS service teams, AWS industry teams and AWS Professional Services delivery teams to craft industry-specific programs that will serve the needs of the customer, and extend that use to other customers within the industry and related industries. You will leverage and refine a programmatic approach to help customers drive their business metrics across a set of industry-specific needs. As a trusted customer advocate, the Generative AI Strategist Program lead will assess and deliver best practices around program delivery, project approaches, and business measurement. The ability to connect business value to a scalable, repeatable, extensible approach is critical to the Strategist Program leader role.
Key job responsibilities
- Discuss complex industry-specific business concepts with executives, line managers and technologists
- Drive large, complex sales opportunities from ideation, through vision building and scoping, all the way to closure and into delivery
- Conduct workshop sessions to identify opportunities with our customers to scope how they could deliver business value through the use of generative AI or machine learning
- Partner with the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center Strategy team to establish programmatic approaches, governance frameworks, and best practices for effective GenAI implementation
- Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration between AWS Sales, AWS service teams, industry specialists, and Professional Services to ensure cohesive program delivery
- Establish metrics frameworks and measurement approaches to quantify business impact of GenAI implementations across customer engagements
- Identify patterns, insights, and common challenges across customer implementations to drive continuous improvement in program design and delivery methodology
- Drive the development of industry-specific GenAI programs that deliver measurable business outcomes for AWS customers, ensuring scalability and repeatability across multiple accounts

A day in the life
Your day starts tracking performance metrics across APJC strategic initiatives, identifying acceleration opportunities in your different customer cohorts. You run a working session with a customer moving from GenAI ideation to production deployment, then collaborate with sales teams to refine pre/post-sales mechanisms that streamline customer journeys. After coordinating with global teams on best practices, you analyze non-linear growth initiatives performance data, making recommendations to optimize results. You end by documenting key learnings from a successful customer implementation that can be applied across other APJC markets to accelerate regional GenAI adoption.
About the team
The Generative AI Innovation Center will guide customers in figuring out what business needs Generative AI can address, identify and prioritize new use cases based on business value, and implement innovative and practical solutions along with steps to scale. Based on our customers maturity with Generative AI, the Generative AI Innovation Center will provide custom demos and proofs-of-concepts. When customers are ready to deploy solutions into production or need help in a sustained manner, the Generative AI Innovation Center will transition work to ProServe teams or to a partner. With the combined power of resources, technical expertise, and industry knowledge, we can help our customers accelerate their time to value with AI.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in the industry as a ML practitioner or executive
- Experience participating in the sales lifecycle (directly or indirectly)
- Experience in management consulting or related work
- Experience launching technically complex programs, projects, or related work that includes the following: Big Data, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Executive communication skills
- Writing communications skills
- Experience with presenting to audiences of 5 to 50 people of various levels (developers to executives) and backgrounds (business, technical, operations)
- Experience in management consulting or related
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS)
