DESCRIPTION
Amazon is seeking a smart and ambitious Global Selling Senior Regional Development Manager to join its China team in Beijing.
As the Senior Regional Development Manager, the role involves establishing and improving the regional ecosystem. This includes working with a range of partners such as service provider groups, associations, government entities, colleges, and sellers. It requires coordinating with the Marketing, Public Policy, and various business teams to consistently expand the local partner network and drive awareness of Amazon's global selling brand. The goal is to maximize onboarding of qualified new sellers by leveraging internal and external resources. This role requires deep regional insights into the resources, strengths, opportunities, frictions, and challenges faced by local traders, companies, and manufacturers when starting a business on Amazon, and developing solutions with the Amazon Global Selling (AGS) function teams to address these issues.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills are essential for navigating the fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, where you will have the autonomy to take full control and responsibility for achieving business objectives. This role provides ample opportunity to develop original ideas, make suggestions on approaches, and implement solutions in a competitive and fast-moving environment.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Consistently and autonomously deliver on established business objectives and identify new business opportunities in Northern China; build and improve the Services Providers network.
Innovate or optimize the regional development model in Northern China, quickly pilot and summarize the learnings, then scale up successful practices.
Leverage internal and external resources to drive the onboarding of qualified new sellers and support their healthy growth. Collaborate with and influence the Amazon Global Selling (AGS) business functions and support teams.
Deeply understand regional seller and service provider business demands and pain points, and work proactively to support their growth through Amazon consultancy. Develop solutions to address seller and service provider frictions in coordination with the central team.
Develop and manage a portfolio of complex and impactful business relationships, such as with top service providers and national associations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- - Bachelor's degree or above
- - 8+ years in Sales, retail management, or online business development.
- - Experience in Cross-border business, merchant sourcing and management is a plus.
- - Fluency in Mandarin and English is required
- - Ability to think strategically and creatively while executing methodically with high attention to detail, operational excellence and ability to multi-task
- - Team player with strong persuasion skills, able to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
- - Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and international environment, to lead by influence and earn trust at all levels
- - Genuine and intense customer focus
- - Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- - Oversea Education/ work experience. MBA are preferred.
- - Retail or Online business experience.
