DESCRIPTION

The STM is responsible for development, qualification and validation of final assembly and test processes to support Kindle products in Mass Production at contract manufacturer sites. You will focused on accomplishing product objectives, you will collaborate in identifying appropriate tooling & test fixtures, trouble shooting material and process issues, and qualifying processes and tooling to assure successful introduction of new products into production.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice on design & planning through DFM, Line balancing , as well as Process Yield, Capacity and Cost Modeling.
- Review and comment on Tooling Designs & Qualification
- Provide advice regarding copy lines from master line by NPI teams
- Provide advice regarding Process Qualification, Approval and Documentation
- Quality improvements
- Process and yield improvement
- Lean methodology application

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Engineering degree with 7+ years’ experience in Production or Manufacturing Engineering.
Desired Experience in the following fields:
1. Production experience in high volume manufacturing.
2. Experience of managing suppliers, covering plastics, mechanical parts Metal Forming, and product final assembly testing and packaging.
3. Experience in Production Process Qualification, Measurement , Analysis, CPK , and GR&R
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Working knowledge of data analysis and statistics.
- Enthusiasm for getting “hands on” with product and production equipment
- experience in water proof assembly or mechanical design is a plus.
- Experience in SMT technology or PCBA is a plus .
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including effective presentation of complex data.
- Demonstrated ability to start new projects and drive to completion and achieve “actionable” results.
- Experience working with overseas partners.

- Familiarity with CAD systems is a plus .

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6-sigma green belt
- Lean Kaizen facilitator certified
- IPC 610 /600
