DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager, Launch Expansion, to manage procurement tasks and ensure the on-time delivery of goods and services for the launch of new Amazon Fulfillment Centers. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing procurement activities to support the timely setup and opening of these new facilities.

The Supply Chain Program Manager will monitor and control project progress and performance. They will identify and manage risks proactively. This role requires strong communication skills to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. The manager must balance short-term deliverables with continuous improvement initiatives to deliver long-term value to the organization's internal customers.

Key job responsibilities
- Demonstrate ownership, management and coordination of procurement tasks and dependencies to ensure goods and services critical to the launch of new sites are planned for, ordered and delivered on time
- Track and report project progress and performance, proactively identify risks, issues and manage mitigation plans when necessary
- Track Purchase Order status and work with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of all equipment
- Monitor and mitigate overall risk for all new launches buildings
- Continuously improve current processes
- Identify and/or eliminate project related barriers for team members and partners
- Collaborate with suppliers and establish monitoring processes, where applicable, to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance
- Define key performance indicators – develop metrics and service level agreements for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives
- Drive execution of vision and goals for the team
- Develop sustainable training as needed for new project/program launches
- Manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- 2+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 2+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 2+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
