Are you a Data Scientist or Artificial Intelligence (AI) Architect/Engineer with hands-on experience with Azure's Machine Learning offerings? Would you like to add AWS expertise to your arsenal and join an organization recognized for their expertise across multiple cloud vendors?

As an Azure AI & ML Specialist in the AWS Cloud Intelligence team, you will be the expert who advises customers on the differences between Azure and AWS AI and Machine Learning offerings. You will help these customers with migrations, multi-cloud solutions, or architecting new cloud based solutions related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning.

Ideal candidates have experience leading AI technical engagements. They must have the technical depth and business acumen to easily communicate the benefits of AWS offerings to architects, data scientists, and C-Level executives. They must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and think strategically to solve complex business and technical problems. They must have the inclination to share their insights and educate peers to foster a technical community of SMEs.


Key job responsibilities
- Guide technical and business decision-makers on AI/Machine Learning/Deep Learning and generative AI projects, helping to map Azure and OpenAI offerings to AWS services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry, Azure, and AWS AI/ML offerings. Analyze the services to extract technical and business insights that drive reference architectures, runbooks, blogs, and training content.
- Deliver technical and business presentations to internal audiences (field SAs, BDMs, consultants, and product engineering) and external audiences (industry and partner events).
- Work closely with AWS customers to enable large-scale use cases, design ML pipelines, and drive the adoption of AWS AI/ML services.
- Autonomously manage a broad pipeline of technical engagements requiring bias to action, swift delivery, and frequent reprioritization

About the team
The AWS Cloud Intelligence (CI) team is a global specialty services organization providing expertise in cloud competition. As subject matter experts (SMEs) on key competitors, domains, and industry segments, we empower field teams to address customer challenges quickly by removing business and technical barriers in the sales cycle. CI delivers scalable content, analyzes insights on competing cloud providers, and identifies product and positioning gaps to enhance AWS's value proposition. Alongside self-service resources, we offer targeted support for competitive opportunities through one-on-one customer engagements. Our team comprises Solution Architects (SAs) and Business Development Managers (BDMs) with expertise in public clouds, advising field teams on strategies to build compelling business cases for customers navigating multi-cloud environments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of experience in all phases of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning solutions using Azure or AWS technologies.
- 8+ years of customer-facing experience as a solutions architect, data scientist, technical consultant, or technical pre-sales

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure AI Foundry.
- Experience with AWS technologies like SageMaker, Redshift, EC2, Data Pipeline, Kinesis, EMR, and AI services like Transcribe, Kendra, Translate, Rekognition, etc.
- Experience with one or more Deep Learning frameworks and Libraries such as Apache MXNet, TensorFlow, Caffe2, Keras, Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit, Torch, and Theano
- Sound business judgment with proven ability to influence business stakeholders
- Public cloud provider certifications: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, develop actionable tactical plans quickly, up-level the insights to strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to be a "trusted advisor" to customers. Able to facilitate relationships with senior technical executives, as well as easily interact and give guidance to data scientists and system architects.
- Excellent written and presentation communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
