Sr. Program Manager, Amazon Flex, Global Sustainability & Strategic Planning
DESCRIPTION
At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. One customer experience that we’re constantly looking to take to a new level is how we fulfill and deliver their orders. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon is continually striving to innovate and provide best-in-class service levels by pioneering new products and services in the last mile delivery space. We are doing this by building a world class last mile operation, significantly complimented by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex works with independent contractors – called Delivery Partners – to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss by delivering Amazon packages.
As the Sr. Program Manager - Sustainability & Strategic Planning, you will have the unique opportunity to own Amazon Flex's annual and long term business planning cycles as well as develop and execute on a long term global strategy to decarbonize Flex operations. This role is inherently cross-functional—you will work closely, but not limited to, with WW and Regional Program, Ops, Product, Tech, Legal, Finance, and Executive teams to bring programs to the market. This job will require exceptional communication skills and having the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership, and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The successful candidate will be proficient at solving transportation challenges and possess a bias to get things done and deliver results.

This bird’s eye view of the business will provide valuable context for the sustainability scope in your purview where you will drive improvements in key sustainability metrics, reporting and forecasting processes and capabilities. As sustainability opportunities emerge, you will use data and industry knowledge to scope and execute new strategies that reduce the environmental impact of Flex deliveries while maintaining a great DP experience.
The ideal candidate has a track record of success in project and stakeholder management, is a strong writer and communicator, and is resourceful. You are a ‘hands-on’ person with high level of autonomy and you are not afraid to drive results from the front. This will be a high-visibility role, meaning you are comfortable with driving critical business decisions in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and interacting with all levels of the organization.
