Sr. Program Ops Manager, Merchandising and Deal, RoA PMO, AGS
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Global Selling is seeking an experienced and strategic Sr. Program Manager to lead the research and development of merchandising and deal strategies for Sellers. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on Seller economics, defining and implementing strategies to drive seller adoption of Amazon's merchandising and deal features. Your efforts will aim to increase GMS while enhancing seller profitability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Global Store, Merchandising and Deal Product, Customer Economy Research, and Country Business teams, to ensure a data-driven and outcome-focused approach.
Key job responsibilities
Research and Analysis:
• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on consumer signals, pricing trends, and the impact of coupons, deals, discount and other promotion tools.
• Leverage data and insights to identify opportunities for optimizing merchandising and deal strategies for Sellers.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and seller economics to inform strategic decision-making.
Strategy Development and Execution:
• Define and implement merchandising and deal strategies tailored to different seller categories, seller segments, and geographies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and execute initiatives that drive seller adoption of merchandising and deal features.
• Develop and optimize processes, tools, and best practices to streamline the implementation of merchandising and deal strategies.
Program Management and Optimization:
• Define and track key performance indicators to measure the success of merchandising and deal programs, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
• Identify and address bottlenecks, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Develop training programs and resources to upskill and enable teams involved in merchandising and deal execution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
- Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods industries
- Knowledge or experience with coupons, rewards, or other incentive tools in the e-commerce environment
- Advanced data analysis and visualization skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools
