DESCRIPTION
Amazon Air (AIR) is seeking a highly enthusiastic and motivated Principle Program Manager to join the Air Cargo team.
The Principle program manager finds and executes value-creation opportunities and manages relationships across the entire lifecycle of the business. As trusted advisors, this principle PM will work at a programmatic level; influence their business planning and strategy; and look around corners to identify obstacles and recommend solutions, ensuring owners make effective business decisions and are setup for success.

Key job responsibilities
- Coordinating Business and Financial Health Reviews to discuss business performance and new opportunities, as well as to provide benchmarking data and insights.
- Regional benchmarking, price positioning, profit analysis leading to overall rate structure and cargo pricing strategy vision.
- Support new demand opportunity assessment/pricing strategy with a focus on recurring rate adjustments.
- Serving as a key contributor on the Cargo Management team, defining and delivering initiatives that expand the Cargo program.
- Managing working-level relationships across the organization.
- Identifying workflow inefficiencies and working to formulate and implement operational improvements at the network level.
- Uses expertise and judgment to select stakeholders to determine the right goals, inform decisions, and design long-term solutions.
- Communicating goals, roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to gain buy-in and deliver programs.
- Working within time constraints to meet business critical needs (often managing multiple, time-sensitive and high priority initiatives simultaneously).
- Systematically escalating problems or variances in the operating plan to the relevant owners and teams, following through to resolution to ensure they are delivered.
- Preparing and delivering business reviews to senior leadership updating on progress and roadblocks.
About the team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- 10+ years of work experience inclusive 5+ years of experience in Aviation industry.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
- 10+ years experience in Aviation Cargo industry.
