Sales Operations Specialist, Business Optimization & Sales Support (BOSS)
DESCRIPTION
*Open to considering applicants in Sydney and Singapore (role will be based in-country)
We are seeking a Sales Operations Specialist who possesses a passion for solving business problems through data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will collaborate with Sales Operations leadership to identify and address operational challenges, implement BOSS mechanisms in other geographical regions, support all operational aspects of Annual and In-Year Planning activities, provide revenue routing support, assist with monthly forecasting, respond to operational inquiries from the field through a Live Chat channel, and leverage Generative AI to solve problems or derive insights from data. The ideal candidate should demonstrate broad technical skills, strong financial acumen, deep analytical experience, and a commitment to driving operational excellence.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to embrace challenges, work independently, and demonstrate a keen aptitude for learning. They will drive the development of simple, scalable solutions to address day-to-day problems, exhibiting exceptional organizational skills and the capacity to communicate results effectively, both in written and verbal form, with clarity and ease of understanding. Proactively seeking answers through self-service tools, they will know when to request guidance. A passionate and detail-oriented approach, coupled with analytical prowess and problem-solving abilities, will enable them to escalate issues and overcome roadblocks as needed. Adept at managing multiple assignments, requests, and processes concurrently, they will prioritize tasks and deliver timely results. Identifying commonalities across business needs, they will recommend improvements to accelerate current scaling mechanisms and leverage automation to grow capacity in line with business growth. Furthermore, they will be responsible for driving enhancements to reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team, increasing the availability and granularity of actionable data.
This position will work with the several stakeholders supporting the extended AWS Sales & Marketing organization. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units, as well as across other geographies.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support annual planning activities and develop actionable insights
- Provide enablement and support of specific mechanisms used to manage the Sales and Sales Operations businesses
- Support key sales support systems/processes required to meet the rapid growth of the business and achieve revenue attainment and market development objectives
- Create insightful analysis, reports, and dashboards to accelerate information-to-action at scale
- Develop relationships and processes with sales, sales operations, and other stakeholders to identify and address operational inefficiencies
- Prepare ad hoc analysis & participate on projects as needed
- Be an expert in analytics tools required to support Sales and Sales Operations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
