Finance Manager, GMAC FP&A Reporting
DESCRIPTION
Amazon’s Global Media, Advertising, and Corporate Development (GMAC) Finance team is seeking a Finance Manager to play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and controllership. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with finance and business leaders across multiple teams, drive financial accuracy, and support strategic initiatives that improve financial transparency and operational efficiency.
This role will focus on headcount planning, forecasting, and financial controllership, ensuring Amazon’s planning and reporting systems accurately reflect business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent financial modeling skills, and the ability to navigate complex financial structures while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
A successful candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, balancing multiple priorities while driving impactful business decisions.
Key job responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Reporting: Support forecasting, budgeting, and month-end close processes. Own and improve financial models and reporting structures to enhance visibility for leadership.
- OpEx and Headcount Planning: Assist with tracking and analysis of operational and headcount-related financials, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- Financial Controllership & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial controls, streamline reporting processes, and improve allocation accuracy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance and business partners to develop performance tracking metrics and drive operational efficiencies.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis & Stakeholder Support: Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and business planning.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
