Lead Publishing Producer, Amazon Games - Global Production Group
DESCRIPTION

Our team of game industry veterans is developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and developing original IPs, including New World: Aeternum and an upcoming title based on The Lord of the Rings, with our studios and teams in Seattle, Orange County, San Diego, Montreal, and Bucharest. Amazon Games also publishes best-in-class games in close collaboration with developers, leading with Lost Ark from Smilegate RPG, THRONE AND LIBERTY from NCSOFT, and King of Meat from Glowmade, as well as the next major entry in the Tomb Raider series from Crystal Dynamics.
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Publishing Producer. You will own the development relationship with Maverick Games and be responsible for leading the checks and balances as we progress through development. You will partner closely with the Executive Producer and other disciplines within the wider publishing organization to execute on project needs. You will bring a deep knowledge of game production across the full lifecycle of product development, having successfully delivered large-scale titles on PC and console as a Producer or Publishing Producer. You will bring experience of directly managing teams. Experience of working with multi-discipline teams across a development studio would be advantageous. Prior experience of creating racing games would be a bonus but not essential.
Key job responsibilities
• Create and manage production processes including establishing milestones and deliverables, creating roadmaps, tracking progress and managing risk
• Collaborate with multiple contributors including the development team, external agencies, and internal partners
• Implement and manage review processes to ensure buy-in from product stakeholders, marketing and Amazon Games leadership
• Use data and regular status updates to ensure predictability and integrity of deliveries against the developer’s milestone plan
• Partner with multiple teams including QA, tech, customer support, marketing, localization, live operations, BI, and external teams to contribute to project goals and successfully deliver milestones
• Build and maintain a strong working relationship with key stakeholders and leaders from the development studio
• Manage dependencies and competing priorities between publishing teams, the development team and external vendors
• Drive positive outcomes for the project and wider business
• Support and guide the developer and internal teams to drive success for the game
• Demonstrate creative problem solving, removing roadblocks and driving efficiency
A day in the life
The day-to-day role of the Lead Publishing Producer is being the main point of contact for the software development of the game within both Amazon and the development partner, Maverick Games. Working alongside the Executive Producer, you will be a key contributor to regular milestone evaluation as a means to validate project progress and identify/ mitigate risks. You will forge working relationships and collaborative processes between Amazon Games and external partners to ensure requirements from development and publishing teams are met.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion for games!
- Proven experience scheduling teams, managing external partners, and supporting live service products
- Understanding of live services and the complexities of running a live product
- Passion and broad knowledge of project management and product process
- Experience with a wide variety of development practices including waterfall, scrum/agile etc
- Cross-team collaboration skills
