DESCRIPTION
The Technical Power Supply Program Manager will serve as the technical lead for power supply development and management across eero's product portfolio. Based in Taipei alongside our hardware engineering teams, this role requires deep technical expertise in power supply design, development, and qualification combined with strong program management skills. This position will drive technical specifications, cost optimization, and supplier engagement while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of power supply solutions. The role is critical in maintaining and improving our power supply specifications, ensuring both technical excellence and operational efficiency.
Key job responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Strategy
-Create and maintain comprehensive PSU specifications that capture both technical and operational requirements
Establish and manage system for tracking specification changes and improvements
Develop standardized template for PSU requirements across different power levels and form factors
Build knowledge base of lessons learned and best practices for future PSU development
Drive continuous improvement in specification development process
Lead technical specifications and requirements for new power supply designs
Drive power supply strategy across product lines, including cost reduction initiatives
Evaluate and recommend technical solutions for performance, cost, and manufacturability
Provide technical oversight of supplier designs and development
Partner with EE teams to define optimal power specifications for new products
Requirements Management
Gather and document technical requirements from hardware engineering teams
Collect operational requirements from manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics teams
Consolidate requirements into clear, actionable specifications for suppliers
Maintain centralized documentation of all PSU-related requirements
Track requirement changes and manage impact to existing programs
Create and maintain specification review process with key stakeholders
Develop metrics to track specification effectiveness and supplier compliance
Lead periodic reviews to identify specification improvement opportunities
Program Management
Lead core team meetings for new power adapter development programs
Drive project schedules from concept through mass production
Partner with Global Supply Managers (GSMs) during supplier quotation process
Ensure clear delineation of compliance testing responsibilities
Review and validate supplier quotes for completeness of compliance and safety testing coverage
Establish clear documentation of supplier commitments for regulatory testing and certifications
Track and manage compliance milestones within program timelines
Ensure all programs adhere to established PSU specifications
Track deviations from specifications and drive corrective actions
Maintain documentation of technical decisions and trade-offs
Create and maintain database of PSU characteristics and performance metrics
Supplier Management
Serve as primary technical interface with power supply ODMs
Lead technical reviews and design validation with suppliers
Drive supplier performance improvements and cost reduction programs
Define and document supplier responsibilities for environmental compliance and safety testing
Review supplier test plans and qualification strategies
Monitor supplier progress on compliance activities and certifications
Ensure suppliers maintain required certifications and test reports
Coordinate between suppliers and internal teams for compliance requirements
Evaluate and qualify new potential suppliers
Quality & Compliance
Partner with Safety Engineering and Compliance teams to review supplier test reports and certifications
Ensure power supplies meet all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements
Review and validate 3rd party lab results provided by suppliers
Maintain documentation trail for certifications and compliance
Track and resolve any compliance-related issues during development and production
Support compliance teams during regulatory audits or inquiries
Help establish testing requirements for new markets or updated regulations
Reporting & Communication
Provide weekly status updates on power supply programs
Present technical recommendations to leadership team
Create and maintain technical documentation
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams globally
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
8+ years experience in power supply development and/or program management
Deep technical knowledge of power supply design, testing, and manufacturing
Strong understanding of international safety standards and certifications
Experience managing ODM relationships in Asia
Experience managing supplier compliance responsibilities and deliverables
Knowledge of international safety standards and certification processes for power supplies
Understanding of environmental compliance requirements (RoHS, REACH, etc.)
Experience reviewing safety and compliance test reports
Experience creating and maintaining technical specifications
Williness to travel 30%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with consumer electronics power supplies
Background in USB-C power delivery standards
Experience with cost optimization programs
Experience with specification management tools and systems
Background in developing standardized documentation processes
Knowledge of database management for technical specifications
Experience implementing continuous improvement programs
Experience with global certification bodies and testing laboratories
Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and regulations
Background in compliance management for consumer electronics
Familiarity with environmental compliance documentation requirements
PMP certification
Experience working with contract manufacturers
