In this role, you will drive key engineering initiatives including the development and execution of engineering excellence goals, operational planning, and technical readiness. Each of these areas are critical to ensure we can reliably serve our customers while continuing to innovate on our portfolio of solutions. You will work across the organization in partnership with tech teams and leadership to ensure we can deliver on this promise.

The successful candidate will possess a strong program management background, have demonstrated experience leading large programs, and have a well-rounded technical background.


Key job responsibilities
As a central figure across Worldwide Grocery engineering, responsibilities for this role include leading and coordinating efforts to define and drive programs from planning to outcome. You will engage with engineers and senior leaders and will need to be able to communicate effectively across all groups and stakeholders. You will also provide guidance and assist in decision making including making appropriate tradeoffs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
