Amazon seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager that combines collaborative and analytical skills with a passion for problem solving on behalf of our customers. In this role, you will contribute as part of our strategic planning team in our EU headquarters to help deliver customer packages faster, more reliably, sustainably and at a lower cost.

Amazon’s Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from Operational teams to Retail teams and other business units. You’ll help us optimize our supply chains to make our customer experience even better and our business more energy and cost efficient.

The ideal candidate excels coordinating multiple initiatives, removing team blockers, managing stakeholders, and reporting to senior leadership. This role is based at one of our European headquarters. There may be flexibility to choose your location.

Key job responsibilities
-Define innovative supply chain and operating models for various businesses
-Analyze and interpret large complex data sets to drive efficiency improvements across supply chains and operations
-Lead cross-functional initiatives and influence diverse stakeholders across Europe to solve complex operational challenges
-Partner with Tech teams to prioritize, develop, and implement business-critical solutions
-Drive strategic planning and execution of complex projects while thinking big and delivering results at scale
-Coach and develop team members to build organizational capabilities

A day in the life
As a Senior Supply Chain Manager in our strategic planning team, you'll focus on shaping Amazon's long-term supply chain vision. In this dynamic environment, you'll analyze complex data sets to uncover future trends and opportunities for network optimization. You'll spend time collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, long-term solutions that enhance our network capabilities. Leading discussions with stakeholders across Europe, you'll work on multi-year supply chain initiatives and partner with Tech teams to conceptualize transformative solutions for our future operations.
As a senior leader, you'll mentor team members while fostering an environment of strategic thinking and continuous improvement. No two days will be the same in this role, and you'll constantly be learning as you work on diverse, complex projects that have the potential to revolutionize how we serve our customers in the years to come.

About the team
The Supply Chain, Transportation Planning & Operational Excellence (EU STEP) team combines Supply Chain, Network Design, and Transportation Planning teams to enhance end-to-end operations. We’ll also unite our ACES Learning, Quality, and RME Field teams across business lines to focus on Operational Excellence, driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement in cost-to-serve, speed, and customer experience.

This role is within the Transportation Network Development (TREND) team part of STEP organization. TREND owns the strategic and mid-term planning for middle mile and last mile networks for all inbound and outbound volume flows across all modalities, as well as tactical planning and implementation for M3&T and Sea/Rail/Air.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience in supply chain
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
