Our Senior Operations Managers play a crucial role in raising the bar for safety standards, exceeding expectations, and delivering a superb customer experience—critical to Amazon’s success, which is built on a foundation of customer obsession and innovation.

This is a multi-faceted role that requires balancing strategy and execution. The Senior Operations Manager is to manage inbound and returns operations within a functional area across multiple fulfillment centers, sorting centers and delivery stations in Brazil, aiming standardization, process optimization and ensuring the fulfillment of customer expectations and commitments, with the optimal cost to serve. Meanwhile, this leader might ensuring fleet optimization and initiatives that reduces our carbon footprint, bringing even more sustainability for our business.

Key job responsibilities

- Owns and delivers the operational budget for the functional area, as well as operational goals for inbound, returns and sustainability;
- Responsible for providing strategic, long-term planning (3, 6, and 12 months ahead), including preparation for peaks;
- Drives continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and enhance resource usage, ensuring business objectives are met and exceeded;
- Works on strategic initiatives with site-wide and network-wide impact, effectively leveraging Operations;
- Collaborates with leaders across the network to share best practices, implement process improvements, and drive efficiencies and cost savings.
- Map transportation carbon foot print and work with several streamlines setting up projects, metrics, measuring systems and actions to maximize the efficiency of our operations.

Additional Job Elements:

Willing to travel within different regions of Brazil

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations, or related technical field from an accredited university;
- Solid and relevant carrier in logistics industry (supply chain, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, retail);
- Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean methodologies;
- Fluency in English and Portuguese.
