New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer, Deployment Readiness, Deployment Readiness

We do this by building automated solutions to handle things that technology does well, while relying on people to handle things that humans do well. We are constantly innovating in the ways we are automating and accelerating the delivery of products and packages which includes building custom hardware and applying robotics, autonomy, supply chain optimization, machine learning, manipulation, image processing, and real-time data processing using distributed systems.
The WW Technology Deployment org is seeking a talented and solutions-oriented NPI Deployment Engineer to contribute to delivering transformational innovation to the business. You will be part of a team with the mission to ensure that robotics technologies maturing through the development pipeline are vetted and tested in the field, during Alpha and Beta deployments, to identify and resolve issues upstream before deployments at scale.

• Participate in strategic Deployment Readiness projects with significant technical depth and breadth;
• New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer acts as the subject matter expert for deploying, integrating, optimizing, and implementing new Robotics solutions during pre-GA phases;
• Provide iterative feedback on Work Instructions and execution plans to achieve consistent outputs;
• Maintain and follow-up on action plan(s);
• Manage large third-party installation teams during the execution of Alpha and Beta deployments;
• Resolve field issues and ensure root causes are addressed;
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards;
• Drive alignment of New Product Introduction strategy with internal stakeholders and external partners;
• Lead field trials, contribute to deployment guidelines and test plans/procedures in order to get Amazon Robotics solutions certified and deployed;
• Traveling requirement for this role is up to 75%
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Physics, Operations Research, Finance, or equivalent
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience working directly with hardware/software Engineering teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
