The ASK Developer Tools team is looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to help us in our mission to make developers focus on creating magical experiences and making their life easier through SDK, CLI and visual tools. As a Sr. Engineer, you will own the design for the developer and multi-agent tools on Alexa. You will work on projects that enable developer to provide instructions to the LLM in an efficient manner that drives consistent experiences. In your role, you will provide a safe and efficient way to enable developers to build on LLMs at scale for Alexa developers.
In your role, you will devise the own near-term DX solutions and contribute to the long term strategy for 1st and 3rd party software developers across the Alexa community.
Key job responsibilities
-Building software that runs with high quality on millions of Echo family devices, and Alexa-enabled -SDK and Tools for supporting development for Devices using latest fast moving technologies including LLM
-Taking a long-term view of architecture, proactively fixing deficiencies and/or proposing larger projects.
-Understanding the business impact of your systems and show good judgment when making technical trade-offs.
-Driving engineering best practices (e.g., Operational Excellence, Security, Quality, etc.) and set standards.
-When confronted with discordant views, you are able to find the best way forward and influence others to follow that path, building consensus.
-You contribute to the professional development of colleagues, improving their technical knowledge and engineering practices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
