Solutions Architect Leader, Korea Automotive OEM, AutoMfg SA
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Solutions Architecture Leader for a Korean-based OEM customer with a global presence. This role will lead a team of Solution Architects (SA) and Customer Solutions Managers (CSM) who are responsible for helping our customer set and realize a technical vision that accelerates their digital transformation across various sectors of their business: Vehicle Technology, Vehicle Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and IT.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated customer-facing leader to coach, grow, and partner with technically skilled, customer-facing SAs and CSMs. You will develop the industry’s best cloud-based SAs by enabling and coaching them on best practices, solution selling, and speaking skills - as well as how to create and present architectures of widely varying size and complexity to highly diverse customer stakeholders.

In this role you will need to be technically capable and credible within the automotive domain and use that knowledge to shape the customer’s journey. You must enjoy learning and sharing ideas to help colleagues and customers embrace and adopt new technology. You should exhibit thought leadership to look beyond the technology, consider the value derived by our customers, and help them change how technology is viewed.
You will help team members ramp-up on AWS skills as well as help your team develop speaking, writing, presentation, and executive interaction skills. You will represent your team to AWS executive management. You will also need to be adept at interacting, communicating, and partnering with other departments across AWS such as services teams, marketing, and professional services.

Key job responsibilities
Display a strong understanding of solutions innovation. The ideal candidate will have past experience working with customers or leading architecture teams.
Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services onto the AWS platform.
Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects from internal and external sources.
Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
Coach Solutions Architects in the skills needed to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many enablement sessions so they can transfer skills to customers.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
Build deep relationships with customer decision makers and enable them to be “Cloud Advocates.”
Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service teams, and Enterprise Support.
Ability to travel up to 30% as needed, both domestic and International.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of managing a technical team of solution architects, sales engineers or similar technical roles experience
- 8+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- 10+ years work experience in technical role instead of no Bachelor’s degree.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the Automotive or Manufacturing Industry.
