Sr. Prod Mgr, Invoice-Payment, Transportation Financial Systems
DESCRIPTION
Transportation Financial Systems (TFS) is one of the largest technological components within the transportation organization enabling the corporation to conduct global trade. These systems are a cornerstone to the success of all global program launches including retail expansions into new geographies and the establishment of new transportation arcs. TFS provides an end-to-end financial solution for all financial transactions including tax integration, financial document creation & management, expense auditing, accounting, payments, and cost allocation functions. We leverage the latest machine learning technologies to develop highly scalable next generation products driving real time financial accounting, reporting, and business insights.
Invoicing and Payments are the foundations to these financial systems. TFS automates the financial processes to ingest invoices from our logistic service providers and validates legal compliance checks, ensures audits of these financial documents and authorizes for payment when all checks are cleared. We also support generation of self billed invoices where our small business and individual drivers do not have the capability to generate legal invoices and enable timely payment of these invoices.
The role will support the development of a best-in-class financial system enabling the sustainable growth of the Amazon Transportation Network. This is an exciting, challenging and highly visible role, working across a multitude of business units and work streams. The role requires the candidate to have solid business acumen working with product, program, and business teams to quickly understand their new product offering and extrapolate its potential implications across the finance systems. Further, the role will liaise with finance organizations (accounting, tax, business finance) to ensure a solid understanding and requirements and document any regulatory or financial implication the program may have. Armed with detailed documented requirements, the role will work closely with technical teams in the organization to establish a global design within the Transportation Financial Systems and seamlessly support the financial processes of the product launch.
