Sr. Risk Specialist , Kuiper, Global Service Compliance
DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a stellar Sr. Risk Specialist to join the Global Service Compliance (GSC) team supporting Amazon’s Project Kuiper. Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Export Control Requirement:

Key job responsibilities
Working closely with the business, legal, tax, accounting, and other teams, you will develop out-of-this-world strategies for handling compliance obligations in creative, business-centric ways that allow Kuiper to move quickly. As a Senior Risk Specialist, you will maintain an up-to-date holistic view of Kuiper’s compliance obligations and engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to design, implement, and update process flows. You will be the expert in identifying and monitoring key dependencies in processes and think in terms of immediate problem solving while focusing on long-term operational excellence. You are responsible for defining success metrics, tracking progress, conducting gap analyses, documenting key decisions, clearing blockers and escalating effectively. You will also contribute to the development of critical policy, process, and procedure documentation and data repositories that support Kuiper service launches, operations, and compliance.
We are looking for a strong analytical thinker who takes a proactive role in deep-diving details and can work across teams to identify gaps in policies, processes, and tools and develop strategies to eliminate gaps and come up with right-sized solutions. This role requires knowledge to solve ambiguous, complex business problems and a successful track record of delivering multiple projects, managing deadlines and prioritizing across multiple teams and stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience operationalizing and/or assessing compliance obligations within a telecommunications organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
