As a member of the Operations Insights, Planning, Analytics and Technology (IPAT) team, this position owns world-wide operations strategic project management for the World Wide Operations IPAT team.
In the context of our swiftly expanding operations, we are in search of a Finance Manager to drive project management of WW Operations KPI automation projects.

KPI tracking and management are one of the most important mechanisms to measure business health and operations strategy. Due to the large amount of KPI tracked by world-wide operations and large number of stakeholder engaged, the process is complex. The Finance Manager will work closely with the BIE team, FP&A team to understand key pain points of the world-wide Operations Finance team’s KPI process, develop vision and roadmap of the KPI automation process, then closely track project status. Also, the Finance Manager reviews the key deliverables and control quality of the products.



Key job responsibilities
- Understanding existing KPI process of broader world-wide operations finance team to identify the key pain points, financial model and prepare process flow.
- Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders and senior leadership using common knowledge platforms.
- Drive best practice by working with WW Ops IPAT BIE team and WW Ops FP&A teams to identify opportunities to standardize KPI definition, calculation logic, and optimize KPI reporting processes, reduce bottlenecks, improve communication, identify risks, and deliver continuous improvement.
- Manage healthy and positive working relationships on a day-to-day basis across a variety of stakeholders, including WW Ops BIE team, WW Ops IPAT and WW Ops Finance teams and senior leaderships.
- Review key deliverables of the projects and control product quality.
- Launch and expansion of specific initiatives, which require operational leadership during launch preparation, execution and ramp phases.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
