PM I, Packaging, Operations Integration
DESCRIPTION
Amazon is looking for a Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own and execute packaging design and development. This role requires packaging technical knowledge to understand different materials and feasibility to reduce damages, cost to serve and introduce innovative pack types. The role will be performing identifying and scoping large projects, managing project timelines, and communicating to senior management on status, risks, and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. This role is located in Bangalore.
Responsibilities include:
· Work with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop and implement new packaging formats.
· This position is responsible for packaging development, testing, feasibility assessment, vendor development to understand the optimized packaging.
· Working very closely with the other geos of Amazon operations, understanding their strategies and working out a long term roadmap for India.
· Working very closely with other program teams to see through the packaging interventions needed for the program to reduce damages, losses and cost and % air.
· Working closely with operations, procurement stakeholders to manage short term commitments to overall goals, and making sure they stay on track.
· Bench marking our practices with the best in class (whether internal or external)
· Managing cross-functional project teams, planning and organizing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects, and processes.
· Innovating to improve customer experience, and relentlessly working towards contributing to the sustainability goals of Amazon.
· Acting as single point of contact for from operations team for any discussions pertaining to program.
A successful candidate will also demonstrate:
· High ability to influence stakeholders without authority, and march them along towards a common agenda.
· High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
· Ability to think strategically and execute methodically. This role required high innovative ideas and relentless questioning status quo
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
· Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
· Ability to write simple and effective documents, for presentation to and review by senior leaders.
Qualification (good to have): Post graduation in Packaging from IIP
Key job responsibilities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of program or project management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
