DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a highly analytic and driven Senior Finance Manager to lead the Shrink Reduction and Returns (CXO) initiatives in our Amazon Grocery Business. Reducing Shrink is one of our largest strategic priorities, representing a critical opportunity to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. Additionally, customer returns thru in-store CXO processes represent a vital aspect of our customer experience and cost. This role will lead a team of 4 finance professionals.

Key job responsibilities
-Develop and implement comprehensive reporting systems to accurately quantify shrink across Amazon Fresh stores and distribution centers.
-Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of shrink, presenting findings to senior leadership.
-Work with CXO business partners to identify opportunities for operational/cost efficiencies in existing estate, and evaluate expansion opportunities for additional physical returns locations.
-Collaborate with merchandising, operations, and supply chain teams to develop and execute shrink reduction strategies.
-Lead cost-benefit analyses on potential shrink reduction initiatives, prioritizing efforts based on impact and feasibility.
-Evaluate and optimize selection, buying practices, and in-stock management to minimize shrink while maintaining customer satisfaction.
-Work with store operations and DC teams to improve processes and implement best practices for shrink reduction.
-Develop KPIs and scorecards to track progress and measure the success of shrink reduction initiatives.
-Manage a team of four finance professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to drive team performance.
-Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on shrink reduction progress and financial impact.
-Stay informed about industry trends and innovative solutions in grocery shrink management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 2+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
- 8+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
