Are you an experienced Risk Manager?

We are seeking candidates with prior experience in risk management to join our Buyer Risk Prevention (BRP) Organization to help us protect our global customers. In this role you will conduct risk assessments for existing lines of business (LOBs), stores, and payment products; aiding in the reduction of defects and risk exposures to Amazon. Additionally, you will play a critical role in proactively assessing new and emerging risks ahead of expansions of LOBs, stores, and payment products. You will partner with Risk Intelligence Analysts, Program/Product Managers, and other risk teams across the company to identify key risk indicators and appropriate mitigation to reduce fraud, abuse, and misuse on our platform.

You will also play a collaborative role in continuous improvements of existing risk assessment programs and mechanisms owned by our team. This position supports a global organization and is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and high paced environment.


Key job responsibilities
* Perform risk assessments for new products/features and existing processes/systems to surface payment risks and reputational exposure points.
* Support post-launch reviews to capture new risk scenarios; conduct deep dives on repeated errors to eliminate defects.
* Contribute to joint business reviews to the management team regarding emerging risks, status of risk assessments, and control performance.
* Act as subject matter experts within our organization, providing consultation to partner teams on risk management practices.
* Self manage work backwards timelines and key milestones required to complete risk assessments; balancing trade offs as appropriate.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
