Amazon Renewed aims to be the premier global destination for pre-owned and refurbished products with high-quality supply sourced from qualifying 3P Sellers and Retail Vendors. We aspire to transform how Customers discover and purchase high-quality, pre-owned products by providing a Customer experience that combines the trust and convenience of buying New with the savings and sustainability benefits of buying Pre-owned. We earn Customer trust by setting a high bar for product quality, qualifying and performance managing Suppliers, and providing an extended guarantee for Renewed products (www.amazon.com/renewed).
We seek a talented, self-motivated, and enthusiastic Global Category Leader to continue growing the Renewed program. The leader is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue acceleration, including identifying and addressing Customer concerns, building and maintaining strategic Seller and Vendor relationships, discovering and correcting Seller pain points, and setting a compelling and actionable vision for business expansion. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and demanding work environment is critical to success in this role.
As the Global Category Leader, you will lead through your team to accelerate sales growth, expand selection, increase retention of existing Seller partners, and improve the overall Customer Experience. You will unlock innovative ways to grow the store through regional-, supplier-, and selection-expansion, while partnering with a diverse set of internal stakeholders spanning multiple organizations and geographies (e.g., Deals, Amazon Business, Sponsored Products, Woot, etc.)
As a people leader, you will recruit, develop, and inspire a global multi-function team and facilitate a trusting and results-oriented culture that is empowered to solve hard problems on behalf of our Customers. The right candidate is obsessed with improving Customer experience, inspiring and leading through others, and growing their own skills and capabilities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years in business development / category management / general management is required
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- Product development experience
- Ability to seamlessly work across functional and organizational boundaries, and has a reputation for influencing others and earning trust across all levels and organizations
- Demonstrated decision making, problem solving, and negotiating skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication abilities
- Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines across multiple responsibilities
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Interest in sustainability and product reuse
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- Experience in refurbishment or sustainability
- Ecommerce and retail experience
- Start-up or early-stage environment experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
