Amazon's Traffic Engineering organization is seeking a visionary Principal Technical Program Manager to lead our groundbreaking edge computing initiatives. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how Amazon's customers and sellers interact with our platform. By leveraging edge computing, we're creating faster, more responsive, and more reliable experiences that will redefine digital engagement.
As our Principal TPM, you'll spearhead critical initiatives that drive Amazon experiences to the Edge while simultaneously enhancing our bot detection and mitigation efforts. Your work will directly protect and improve the resiliency of the Amazon Store and its subsidiaries, impacting millions of customers globally. As you lead the charge in implementing these emerging technologies in Edge Compute and Content Delivery Networks, you'll collaborate with top talent across Amazon and AWS, expanding your expertise and network within one of the world's leading tech companies.

Key job responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive multi-year strategy to move Amazon Stores' experiences closer to customers.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with AWS, Stores and subsidiary partners to stay ahead of emerging threats and implement cutting-edge solutions at the Edge.
- Work with software engineers, product managers and other engineering teams to get quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (build, test and release on time).
- Influence multiple VP-led organizations on their Edge migration strategies and prioritization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in managing and driving Cloud Infrastructure programs.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
