Tax Analyst, Global Tax Services

DESCRIPTION

Global Tax Services seeks a motivated, capable individual to deliver Tax Technology projects for our Indirect Tax function. The tax analyst will have a deep understanding of VAT/GST and accounting concepts, be able to work with large data sets, and have strong business judgment to optimize processes. We are a growing team looking for someone eager to quickly learn tax technology, improve existing tax processes, and drive shaping new ones.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end delivery of EMEA tax technology and new business launch projects by establishing timelines, priorities, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define and deliver business and technical requirements that meet internal tax needs.
• Perform user acceptance testing on new business releases and process improvements.
• Perform hands on detailed data research and analysis of a large financial data sets; investigate, troubleshoot and resolve tax data quality issues.
• Spearhead globally scalable tax solutions and drive process automation.
• Foster partnerships with key stakeholders like Tax and Technology to ensure smooth implementations that fulfill requirements on schedule.

The Global Tax Services (GTS) team aims to provide scalable, innovative indirect tax data solutions that increase efficiency and reliability. By implementing robust data management standards, we seek to reduce manual work while ensuring stability. Our focus is on delivering exceptional customer service and long-term value through solutions that enable operational scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience researching indirect tax issues including taxability of products and services
- Excellent communication skills; detail-oriented.
- Brings a creative, positive attitude and customer-focused approach to projects.
- Experience delivering cross-functional projects, providing data-driven business insights and recommendations.
- Ability to build effective working relationships.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with data investigation across business processes/systems, basic SQL skills and proficiency pulling data from various sources.
- Experience with indirect tax, especially VAT/GST.
- Experience with financial accounting systems.
- Ability to translate tax into technical requirements and explain financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences and
