Senior Program Manager - GenAI, SageMaker
DESCRIPTION
Are you energized to program manage tasks and deliverables of the team in AWS driving adoption of generative AI and machine learning technologies with AWS customer’s adopting a managed service to speed up their GenAI and ML-led innovation? We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our growing GTM business development team and to own and manage all program aspects of tracking and running the world-wide business development of SageMaker AI.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will be working closely with world-wide and geo-specific business development, sales Ops, finance, service and field marketing teams in Gen AI and machine learning. You will be managing tools for revenue, pipeline and forecast across several key dimensions, tracking customer reference generation and progression, revenue risks and impacts, metrics on teams deliverables, processes for gathering and correlating insights for monthly leadership reports, coordination across multiple business development (BD) teams to tag multiple accounts in SalesForce across multiple initiatives, budget planning, planning customer facing roadshows, round tables, Executive Briefing days, webinars, field enablement roadshows, etc. You will use productivity tools such as Excel, SalesForce, asana, smartsheets and event planning tools such as splashthat to accomplish your tasks. You will display strong bias for action, ownership and ability to invent and simplify and you will insist on high standards from the rest of the team. Finally, you will help compile and share insights across several BD teams with peers and Leadership utilizing Amazon’s business writing practices.
A day in the life
You will maintain a program-wide tracker that tracks various aspects of running the SageMaker AI business development including revenue, pipeline, high-value customer tracking/tagging, risk and revenue impacts, event calendar, monthly reporting, etc. Working the world-wide business development specialists, you will drive weekly team calls, capture and document key progress for weekly business review. Working with finance, salesOps and BI teams, you will refresh tools that show revenue, pipeline and forecast across key dimensions on a weekly basis. Working with BDs, SAs and marketing managers, you will track progression of customer references and case studies across the team. Working with BDs, you will help run personalized email campaigns for specific initiatives and track responses, results and metrics and will help plan and setup webinars, roadshows, customer roundtables, executing briefing days, etc. by utilizing event planning tools.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related quantitative field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale programs with matrixed responsibilities
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and services
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong Excel skills, particularly in managing revenue, deal pipelines, forecast metrics
- Exceptional document writing skills with experience writing internal business reports
- Experience in planning and executing email campaigns, running workshops and roadshows
- Ability to influence and lead without direct authority
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning or Gen AI technologies and vendors.
- Experience mentoring junior members of the team.
- Experience running marketing and sales campaigns at scale.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
