Business Intelligence Engineer
DESCRIPTION
For millions of customers worldwide, the Amazon name is synonymous with delivery – and the Delivery Experience (DEX) team provides innovative ways for customers to get what they want and need, enabling the choices they make on every order, every day. We combine customer impact with retail invention, solving huge technical challenges along the way.
DEX's Convenience programs give customers control over their delivery day and time. Existing programs include Amazon Day (AD) and Scheduled Delivery (SD). AD lets Prime customers receive all of their orders on their preferred day of the week in as few boxes as possible. Customers can keep adding orders throughout the week to be delivered on their Amazon Day, giving customers the predictability they love. Scheduled Delivery lets customers choose the precise date and time window in which their orders should arrive.
This Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) role will chart the future of DEX's Convenience programs by developing tools and mechanisms to power insights about our customers and our program. In this role, you will be responsible for delivery performance and precision delivery metrics, deep-dives and custom analyses. You’ll set the bar for analytics, insights, experiment design and readouts and ensure that the product and technical teams are making the right decisions for our customers and long-term program success. You’ll make sure that feature launches are backed by fresh, accurate data and help product managers and engineers grow their analytic capabilities. You’ll tackle complex questions requiring longitudinal or econometric analysis. To be successful in this BIE role you must possess ruthlessly high standards for the quality of data and insights, and a natural ability and penchant to prioritize and dive deep as many layers as necessary to get to the answers you seek.
