DESCRIPTION

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Key job responsibilities
• Set the long-term vision and strategy for Kuiper country expansion
• Drive decisions on country prioritization and launch dates, considering launch or expansion requirements and business needs
• Drive mechanisms to review, update, and inform country prioritization across Kuiper and Amazon stakeholders
• Lead cross-functional and cross-organizational efforts to unblock issues related to country access or expansion
• Work closely with Regulatory, Legal, Infrastructure, Software, Networking, and Supply Chain partners to calibrate on global plans
• Work closely with Regional and Vertical partners to calibrate on business needs and local environment factors that impact execution

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of product management or business development experience
- 5+ years experience with global expansion strategy development
- 3+ years experience with defining and executing global expansion roadmaps
- + years experience with consumer, enterprise, and/or government customer solutions
- Experience in both US and foreign operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience building and managing large scale, successful teams
- Ability to succeed in an entrepreneurial and fast paced culture
- Great analytic and communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
