Pricing Manager, Project Kuiper - Public Sector

Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world? It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion-dollar business and the Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) business is looking for an experienced Pricing Manager, to work in a start-up environment, who is passionate about technology, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions, processes and controls with a focus on the public sector. The KGS team is focused on Government customers around the world, including U.S. DoD and other national security customers.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with an ability to build and articulate financial results and analytical insights to senior business and finance leaders. You will be familiar with managing and preparing financial analysis, critical to tracking the performance of the Kuiper Government Solutions (KGS) contracts and overall business performance. This role requires a self-starter with superb business modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a track record of delivering results to the business. You will be analytical in approach, have a demonstrated ability to develop financial models that provide intelligence for business decisions and be able to leverage your leadership skills to drive business objectives.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead automation efforts of critical pricing processes and rhythms including the implementation of KGS pricing tool Twenty5
- Effectively build cross functional relationships; key to understanding the performance and direction of the business for modeling and analysis
- Complete pricing build-ups and cost volume responsibilities for RFPs, RFIs, and ROMs for the growing KGS business in a very ambiguous start-up environment
- Support classified proposal generation and submission in a SCIF
- Develop financial models for new business concepts and initiatives, and resulting financial impact to help drive data driven decision making including long range financial plans
- Develop, implement and report key financial and operating metrics and performance indicators to measure overall business performance, help develop the financials associated with internal and external review meetings and provide insights to finance and business leadership
- Prepare business case analysis to evaluate new KGS product offerings
Security Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance (with polygraph preferred).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Experience with senior leader level project briefings
- Ability to build strong relationships and work cross functionally (Program Management, Business Development, Product Management, Engineering, Operations)
- Strong ability to deal with Ambiguity
- Must have experience supporting US Government contracts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA and/or CMA
- Strengths in attention to detail, project management and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously in an ambiguous environment
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Knowledge of the satellite or telecommunications industry would be a significant advantage
- Strong skills in data analysis and data and tools like Python, R, Tableau, or advanced Excel
