Amazon Legal is looking for a talented compliance specialist to support its Ring, Blink, Key, and Sidewalk businesses, working from Ring’s Hawthorne office in the Los Angeles area. You will work on regulatory and litigation compliance and our global privacy and data protection program and a broad range of other areas: operations, international expansion, product development, go to market, marketing, advertising, and more. Our work is intellectually challenging, exciting and fast-paced. Developing innovative solutions to novel legal questions is part of our daily business. Key job responsibilities
• Implementing our regulatory, litigation, and global privacy and data protection compliance programs and processes
• Counseling product and engineering teams in the areas of privacy, cybersecurity, consumer protection, product marketing, intellectual property, and digital media
• Reviewing customer-facing assets, such as product marketing, press releases, customer support scripts
• Creating and implementing legal tools, guidelines, training and process improvements
• Assisting legal team with research and managing cross-functional projects as assigned
• Working with U.S. and non-U.S counsel
• Providing support to the business on other legal matters on an as-needed basis
• Some travel, domestic and international, may be required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
