Financial Analyst, EU OHL Finance

Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst to support our Home Improvement business within OHL Retail Finance. The key task would be to help to help the business in decision support through data analysis and business insight.
Key job responsibilities
The Financial Analyst will act as the finance partner for the profitability programs & cost-to-serve under the EU Other Hardlines finance team. This includes, among other things, responsibility for financial metrics, reporting, forecasting and analysis. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to effectively manage the finances of a high-growth business:
- Perform financial reporting and support monthly analysis/deep dive of the Profitability Programs and Financial forecasts.
- Support in monthly/quarterly financial closing activity in close co-ordination with business and other finance teams
- Support the CtS team with business case evaluation, negotiation strategy, vendor analysis
- Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure right trade-off between growth and profitability
- Perform ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modeling. Present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions, and planned future initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong skills in accessing and using analytical tools and modelling incl. SQL, Quicksight and Python.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in finance business partnering roles
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics or Mathematics
