The Amazon Ads Display Creative Services (DCS) Team is seeking a skillful, customer-obsessed Visual Designer to create brand-focused digital advertising that's displayed across Amazon sites, Amazon devices and external sites. As a Visual Designer on the DCS team, you are passionate about delivering world-class graphic solutions to worldwide top advertisers. You are both imaginative and pragmatic, feeling comfortable delivering exceptional creatives in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with global partners and stakeholders to meet brand's expectations, while advocating for the best possible end-customer experience.

Additionally, you have a keen eye for detail, a self-starter attitude and an excellent ability to communicate. An online portfolio and previous design experience are required.

Key job responsibilities
- Design creative executions including but not limited to off-site banners, on-site banners, and Amazon-owned devices brand and ad placements, maintaining high productivity, quality standards and meeting turnaround time targets.
- Ensure design requirements are met in adherence with product specs, policies and creative guidelines.
- Optimize digital images for web, mobile, big screen and other devices.
- Follow and apply graphic templates and style guides.
- Propose user-centered designs by integrating style guides, creativity, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to contribute to evaluate the feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Help ensure quality control, while working closely with marketing stakeholders, design peers and quality specialist.
- Exhibit an ability to follow creative lead as expected, and also contribute to push the creative envelope in a constructive, memorable way with the customer in mind.
- Act as an expert for one or more design categories, helping resolve customer queries, troubleshooting when needed, as well as training and mentoring new employees.
- Be able to incorporate an analytical and strategical thinking in a design role.
About the team
As the creative team within Amazon Ads, the Display Creative Services (DCS) team supports the creation of ad and brand content across Amazon properties such as Amazon.com, Twitch and Amazon-owned devices (Fire TV, Fire Tablet), for top advertisers worldwide. We strive to provide the best end-to-end customer experiences to all our customers, including advertisers and end users, collaborating with global creative campaign managers and sales teams to achieve this goal. The team consists of Visual Designers, Sr. Visual Designers, Global Design Managers, Sr Design Leads, Art Directors and Creative Directors; working on both production work (Creative updates and Key arts adaptation), and design conceptualization work (reference provided and conceptualization needed). We strive to continuously innovate on our processes, enabling us to be the most scalable and customer centric design team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of design experience.
- A remarkable portfolio that demonstrates excellence in composition as the level desired for the application (please be sure it is available online and include a link in your resume).
- Bachelor’s or a higher degree in Visual Communications/Advertising Design/Graphic Design.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to deal with ambiguity, self-prioritize, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- Mastery of the principles of design, color theory, typography and graphics file creation optimized for digital media.
- Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and ability to implement them to create dynamic advertising or shopping solutions.
- Ability to interact at all levels of the company and with external parties in a professional manner, maintaining effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Exceptional computer skills using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), other graphic programs and Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience creating a design style guide, training content or design template.
- Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements that had measurable impact, with proven examples of design problem-solving, impacting team or program business goals.
- Experience in Digital Marketing
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated experience of having high adaptability.
